We got a hand-me-down Stokke for our then 4-month-old but could have used it sooner. As soon as she learned how to she enjoyed being able to climb in and out herself, something no other high-chair I know will allow a kid to do safely.
Tripp Trapp sell baby trays, but they do not mount on the chair. Instead, get the Play Tray for the Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair - not a Stokke product, but just as good - which has a easy to clean surface, a no-spill edge and is easily installed and taken off again.
In Denmark the Stokke chair is a must-have for its simple, sturdy design and unmatched usability. Our relatives' kids use them still at age 10-12, I like sitting in it myself and we will get one for our new baby.

Please use the plastic chair stabilizers provided with the product on the back feet of the chair. They make tipping backward almost impossible. I have tried to find something similar for another chair and stool without any luck. It is such a great safety feature, I don't know why it's not required on all infant, toddler and children's chairs of any kind.
The chair itself is great, and looks good with our other furniture too. We love how it adjusts for the age of the child.
